The Seven Main Energy Centers or Chakras of the Body
The energy
centers, also known as chakras, regulate emotions and emotions when persistently
negative, interfere with the wellbeing of the physical body and its health, to
the point of becoming diseased; it is then extremely important, to have all the seven
main energy centers (chakras) of the body energetically balanced all the time;
thus this being almost impossible with our normal day to day life – we should at
least be conscious enough to become balanced as much as possible.
Disclosure:
1 – There
is so much information available throughout the internet on energy centers
(chakras); much of it is, in my opinion, confusing and contradictory.
2 -
Although I am not the owner of the truth on this subject, I do own the truth of
what I write and believe in.
3 - I only
share information I have learned from both spiritual teachers as well as from the
scientific community.
4 - I do
not use Sanskrit language as it was not the language I have learned or
practice, but this does not demerit it in any way; it is all the same in any
language.
5 – The only
therapy mentioned here is Reiki; exclusively, because it is one of my areas of energy
healing work, but there are other areas dedicated to energy therapeutics.
Having the
understanding that everyone believes whatever they read and interpret, then, it
is important to focus firstly on a fact:
Energy Centers do exist in each
and every single body, independently of any belief.
Why? What
are their functions?
The physical body is an energy body so it makes sense to recognize
that the six energy centers spread throughout the body, distribute the needed
energy through all of our organs and glands, while the seventh, located on the top
of the head is the receptor which connects the higher self to the main Universal Energy
Source.
Our mental
and emotional state affect ALL energy centers which in turn affects our health;
when this persists for a long period of time,
depending on each unique body immune system, the body becomes (dis)eased. In other words: (dis)ease ( lack of ease) happens when the body is energetically unbalanced for a certain period of time.
Each energy
center has it´s unique area to energize, specifically, but it is the normal
flow throughout all of the body that produces the total balanced wellbeing.
The
language some use to identify unbalances or blockages, such as open or close energy centers
or align energy centers – simply is not correct. One cannot open or close
energy centers simply because they can´t; the same way energy centers can´t be
aligned because they are not out of line!
So, what is
this confusing language information pertaining to?
1 – Each energy
center can get depleted in the amount of energy resulting in a faulty energetic
flow throughout all of them.
2 – Each
can get clogged with dissonant (bad) energy.
3 - Have a
blockage with bad dissonant energy.
All of the
above can be corrected with the appropriate energy therapy sessions, done by an
alternative medicine practitioner such as a Reiki Therapist, which in sum, comprises in an Energy Cleaning first, then the Channeling of new Pure Energy
from Source, to each of the depleted energy centers, and finally - a balance between all of the seven, in order
to have a normal flow throughout the whole entire body.
How long
does this take?
Depends on
several individual factors, but the most important are:
1 – The
person (receptor) is ready for this therapy, truly believes in it and wants the change.
2 – The
amount of the dissonant (bad) energy and its origin.
3 – The amount of energy in each center - how low it is.
4 – Whether
the person has already become (dis)eased.
Because our
mental and emotional state affect ALL Seven energy centers, here is a resumed
version of their relation as well as location:
1st – Root or Base – located at the base of the spine - relates
to trust, security, connection to our Planet Earth and its vibration, survival and stability, while regulating the energy flow to the feet,
knees, legs, spine, hips, intestines and spine.
2nd – Sacral – located 2 inches below the navel— relates to
sexuality and creativity, passion, desire,
fear, guilt and anger while regulating the energy to the bladder, lower
back, ovaries, or testes, womb, uterus and all the fluid functions.
3rd - Solar Plexus— located 3 inches above the navel -
relates to power, joy, fear, self-belief, ego, empowerment, will, and it
regulates the stomach, digestion, gall bladder, pancreas, liver, nervous
system.
4th - Heart — located at the heart - relates to healing and love to others and
self, forgiveness, compassion, vulnerability, trust, empathy and regulates
breathing, circulation, heart and lungs, arms, hands, fingers, ribs and the
immune system.
5th – Throat –located at the throat - relates to expression,
power of choice, communication and it regulates breathing (as well as the heart
center), throat, jaw, lower neck, vocal chords, and the thyroid as well as
lungs.
6th – Frontal or Third Eye - located between the eyebrows -
relates to inspiration, awareness, truthfulness, perceptiveness, intuition, and
it regulates the eyes, sinuses, ears, nose, lower brain, upper neck, and the
pituitary gland.
7th - Crown – located on top of the head – relates to clarity,
peace, consciousness, higher self, divine source energy, spirituality, and it
regulates the skull, skin, upper brain, pineal gland, the cerebral cortex and
the nervous system.
Having the
energy centers depleted in energy for a prolonged period of time is reason
enough to have symptoms like i.e. – insomnia, headaches, stomach issues,
confusion, nervousness, depression, sore throat, anxiety, lower back pain, fatigue
– just to name a few.
In the
beginning of times - we were taught by the ancients how to treat ourselves - and then came modern medicine with its ever sophisticated,
modern and ever expensive pharma! Some of us are doing all we can, not to go
back to those ancient times and teachings, but to relearn from them and apply it to our
days with outstanding success – in order to make a difference - while others, continue to be reluctant to the truth - simply put, as this Friedrich Nietzsche quote spells out: - “Sometimes people don't want to hear
the truth because they don't want their illusions destroyed.” As much as I
realize this quote was adapted from more than one of the philosopher’s thoughts,
it is clear what he really meant, and how much truth resides in it, still or
even more today.
Wrong beliefs,
illusions, wrong comfort zone, apathy or procrastination, general fear, fear of change or the unknown, stress (sometimes self imposed) lack of interest or self-love
or self-esteem are all the false friends of those who prefer to give energy to
the disbelief about energy centers,
also known as chakras.
How these seven energy centers function - how they regulate emotions and how emotions, when persistently negative, interfere with the wellbeing of the physical body, is a very important and useful piece of knowledge for anyone who is interested in having good health (aside from good balanced nutrition and habits) and to obtain this, there is only one need: keeping all the centers energetically balanced with clean pure energy, which even in a busy and stressful way of life – is ever important and possible - to be consciously awake making time each day to become balanced and making the right choices to be in harmony.
