How to Connect Talent Purpose and Passion

Passion and talent usually walk hand in hand, it´s easier to notice and identify.  But purpose is something more enigmatic, and I would say, most people walk through life without being aware of theirs. Connecting talent with purpose and passion is therefore somehow challenging but extremely rewarding and fulfilling, in reality is part of our evolution. 

A friend told me about twelve years ago, he knew what his purpose in life was, and he was living it. I was quite surprised and answered: -  How incredible and lucky you are!…I have no idea what mine is! At that point, I guess, l had a foggy and very naïve idea of what a purpose in life was! I assume now, I thought (then)  it had to be something out of the ordinary - saintly or something like it. Today I, of course, think differently!

In the process of my awakening, three years ago, I was literally sent to a sanctuary, an hour and a half drive away from where I live, to hear an important message.  I arrived there and a religious catholic ceremony was undergoing and I thought I might as well attend. It was an outdoor service with thousands of people and the sound system was not good; I was not able to understand anything that came out of the loudspeakers, except for a sentence that came out loud and clear, at some point during mass: “a life of service”! At this point, I understood this was a message for me, but I didn’t quite get it as to what it meant.I knew somehow, someday, I would get it though, so I did not worry.Little by little I was able to put all the pieces of the puzzle together to understand  what this message “life of service” meant, and began to unfold the layers of the life I still have to accomplish ahead.

 You can and may do the same, but first you should know how or who to ask!  


Since my spiritual awakening, the first books I read that impressed me tremendously were the Trilogy - Conversations with God by Neale Donald Walsch. Why? – Because what I read demystified so much the beliefs I had previously installed regarding God, regarding religions, regarding life in general and most of all, regarding us as unique beings,  and as well as all of our potential embedded in our physical, mental and spiritual selves.

Just from book one of the trilogy, I absorbed so many simple but yet deep thoughts, that made me realize, how wrongly I had been taught!

The following are some of God’s answers to Neale´s questions, issues or doubts that make sense regarding our conversation of today about Talent Purpose and Passion:

-          “ Allow each soul to walk it´s path”
-          “ There is only one purpose for all of life, and that is for you and for all that lies to experience fullest glory”
-          “ Everything we feel is either out of fear or out of love”
-          “ Life is not a school, we are here for experience to remember and re-create who we are, over and over again”
-          “ Heaven is the absolute so there is no experience, only knowing”
-          “ Knowing is the divine state and is achieved only after experience”
-          “ Evolution is knowing, experiencing, being”

Sometimes I wish I had the time to re-read these fascinating Conversations with God books; I was then, and continue to be awed when I think of some of the answers God gave to Neale Donald Walsch, but for the sake of finishing this article about How to Connect Talent Purpose and Passion, I will quote this one, in order to show you how to do this:

“God the Father is the Knowing, God the Son is the Experiencing, and God the Holy Spirit is the Being”.

Are you puzzled about How to Connect Talent Purpose and Passion (?!) and don´t see the connection with “God the Father is the Knowing, God the Son is the Experiencing, and God the Holy Spirit is the Being”(?!) then allow me to explain my view:

We are, first of, the so called “son”, the physical body in the experience phase, but we are also the “Holy Spirit” because we are physical, mental and spiritual beings, right? So where do we have to go when in doubt about How to Connect Talent Purpose and Passion?  - Exactly!... To God – the Father, as God is the Knowing. We must consult the Knowing!

How to literally do this?  - Go into your meditating state, in complete silence, relax, calm the chatter in your mind first, and then in a semi-hypnosis state ask yourself: - How do I Connect Talent with Purpose and Passion in this life? You might get the full answer strait away, but if you don´t, or if you get just bits and pieces or confusing messages, you might just say:  - Show me how through the best and easy way I may understand. Then don´t stress it, just surrender to the Universe´s knowledge and better judgment - when the right time comes, your message will come loud and clear just like mine did!
